Day 1: Kalahari Desert

Kalahari Dunes Lodge

The Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge is situated in a vlei among the dunes on the western edge of the Kalahari, where the expansive Karoo desert meets the first red dunes of the Kalahari desert
Guests are welcomed in a spacious reception building, and from there, a wooden walkway leads to the main building, which houses a restaurant with a cozy fireplace, a bar, an inviting lounge, and the Kalahari Lounge
Possible activities: animal watching at the water hole close by; relaxing at the swimming pool; exploring the Kalahari desert on foot on the well-signposted network of hiking trails, by bicycle, or on one of the nature drives in the morning or afternoon
Sit down to a delicious 5-course dinner
Meet your guide who will be taking you on your hike through the Kalahari the following day and discuss departure times
Overnight: Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge

This intimate lodge features uniquely and lovingly designed suites, each offering ample space and privacy.

Day 2: Kalahari Desert

Dunes Camp

Whole day hike with lunch picnic - an early start offers the possibility to watch the sun rise while enjoying a cup of coffee on top of a dune. The hike leads through the red Kalahari dunes typical for the area alternating with tree savannah
In the afternoon arrive at the cosy but luxurious dune camp equipped with a view deck and swimming pool. Your chalet has a private bathroom, shower and shading lapa

Overnight: Luxury Tented Dune Camp

Dunes Camp is nestled in the reserve and is accessed by those embarking on the guided Kalahari Desert hike

Day 3: Check Out

Shortly after sunrise, the day begins with breakfast on the terrace of the camp, where antelopes and giraffes eventually can be seen at the water hole. The hike (duration 1 - 1.5 hours) leads back to Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge
